Greg Lecoeur took this shot of a dolphin in a sardine bait ball off Port Saint Johns on 21 June 2015. He reports: “The sardine run has just started, and there is a lot of marine life and action. The sardines are moving and it’s complicated to dive with the bait ball.”
South African Graham Fenwick captured this amazing image during the 2013 sardine run. Despite there not having been much of a “run” this year, Graham’s image eloquently shows that when baitballs occurred, there was plenty of action!
