Nikon shutter symphony by Benjamin Von Wong

Nikon symphony on Wetpixel

Inspired by a recent article comparing the noises made by the shutters of various Canon and Nikon cameras, photographer Benjamin Von Wong has created a “symphony” using camera noises made by Nikon SLRs, lenses and flash units. He gathered a team together and used around $30,000 worth of gear at a Nikon Professional Services facility to create it. The noises are made by bodies using different shutter speeds, as well as Live View toggling, Mirror toggling, various beeps within menus, and even slamming one of Nikon’s pro bodies onto a wooden crate.
