Hammerhead

John Chapa shared this outstanding image of a Hammerhead shark on Facebook. Here he tells us how he got the shot:

Jupiter Florida boasts some of the best “big animal” diving on the east coast due to close proximity to the gulf stream and shark encounters are common sight. I took this photo in May 2013 at a dive site called the Deep Ledge, three miles off the coast. Randy Jordan, owner-operator and shark handler of Emerald Charters lured several scalloped hammerheads with his hand feeding abilities. After studying the movement patterns of this shark, I was able to get in position for the shot I was looking for. My equipment consists of; Nikon D7000, Tokina 10-17, Sea & Sea Y250 Strobes, housing and dome port.
